The Beyond XR processor will support the AI system, and the viewfinder will also have an upgrade with 9.44 million dots and a 120fps refresh rate for a more precise shooting experience.
The 5-axis image stabilization with 8 stops will provide stability for handheld and gimbal shots. However, these upgrades may not be that significant, as the A9ii didn’t have major upgrades over the original A9.

The Sony A9III was originally scheduled to arrive in Q3 of 2021 but was delayed due to chip shortages. Although chip shortages and global recession and inflation have started to hit the world hard, parts availability can still be an issue, but we think Sony can manage that as they did with last year’s Sony A7R5.
Rumors suggest that the Sony A9III Release Date Q2 of 2023 will be the time for Sony to bring out. We just hope that Sony won’t make the A9III as small of an upgrade as the A9II was.
